This class is ongoing, new students can enroll at any time for individual or monthly sessions. Lizzi Schippert, NJWCS, and Sven Widen of Open Your Eyes are fulltime professional artists and have been teaching together for 20 years.
These are focused sessions on drawing, or painting, the nude figure. In these classes, the student is individually guided in basic anatomy and classical drawing techniques. Portraiture is introduced and encouraged when the student is ready.
Life Drawing is a classic and essential modality for any artist, especially those doing figurative work and portraiture. It is required in art school portfolios.
Most importantly, with competent instruction, Life Drawing encourages in the student a sureness in their drawing ability unmatched by other disciplines.
Clothed sessions are scheduled regularly for young teens and shy adults. Some drawing experience is recommended.
